Astronics' Exterior Lighting Selected for Embraer's Phenom 300 Light Jet

EAST AURORA, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Astronics Corporation (NASDAQ: ATRO), a trusted leader in innovative, high performance lighting, electrical generation, control and distribution systems for the global aerospace industry, announced today that they have been selected by Embraer (NYSE: ERJ) to provide the complete exterior lighting system for its Phenom 300 light jet platform.

Astronics will work with Embraer in the certification process to design the exterior lighting system, utilizing LED (light emitting diode) and HID (high intensity discharge) lighting technology, which will provide an unprecedented combination of performance and reliability. Astronics will also supply flood lighting and lighting controllers for the cockpit.

The first flight of the Phenom 300 is scheduled for mid-2008 with certification scheduled for mid-2009. The Phenom 100 very light jet performed its maiden flight this past July and certification is scheduled for mid-2008.
